我只買過一次Teen Vogue,其實我很喜歡她的雜誌排版,翻閱的時候有種在翻畢業紀念冊的感覺, 不過內容還是少了點。

但是我一直都很喜歡她的時尚攝影:青春洋溢,色彩繽紛,浪漫,俏皮,可愛,還帶著點甜甜酸酸的滋味,像是檸檬口味的Gelato....最重要的是搭配的方式和選擇的單品都很實用。

還有可愛的男模穿著與女模特兒搭配的情侶裝,真的是青春四射。(這也告訴我們,情侶裝不是只有T-shirts ㄧ樣才叫情侶裝 :D)

Prom Dress

Before entering American High School, I thought I would be a big fan of prom and ball. (from what I've known and heard) But it turned out to be, I was so apathy about it. I won't go unless my gal friends ask me to. Few months ago, I saw a dress that really ignited my desire to go to a prom (even though I don't have one to go). I even had a dream about that dress the day I saw it.

To me,prom is all about:

1. Spend lunch time with friends talking about what to wear, who to go with, and what to do after the prom.

2. Spend few weekends looking for the perfect dress.

3. Spend whole day at your friend's house to dress up before the prom

4. All the talks about your and your friends' dates.

It is definitely fun to do if you have close gal friends and a perfect date.

p.s. My dad asked me about graduation and prom today. He probably forgot that college does not have prom. :D

Hotel and Fashion (Part four)-b

延續上次介紹的Reflection Hotel,裡頭我説過設計Room # 206 Fitting Room的Wannasiri Kongman是我很喜歡的皮件設計師,她為泰國最大的皮件公司(Viera by Ragazze)做設計,同時也是BOYY(在之前文章裡,我有放過這個牌子的照片)的設計師.

那一次去泰國的時候逛到Viera By Ragazze真的是驚為天人,它的皮件的設計感和質感完全不輸一些國際品牌,我個人覺得鞋子的款式跟Bottega Veneta,Frye, Coclico有點類似,鞋子的款式都頗為實穿,造型也都挺特別的,但是價格地卻差了十萬八千里,據我媽朋友說,也不難穿,某些皮件我覺得跟Mulberry和TOD's有異取同工之處,附帶一提的是,它皮件的顏色真的非常的多,我最喜歡的是他們那些鮮艷皮件的顏色完全不會有廉價感,即使袋子的價格為高,但是如果不在乎它有沒有名的話,其實以皮件價格來看他真的不貴。 (要不是隨口問了小姐,我想我真的不會相信是泰國品牌)

(不過找了很久,沒有看到很多網頁在介紹Viera By Ragazze,介紹BOYY的是挺多的,下面這兩張照片是好不容易找到的)

3) The Oriental, Bangkok
最後一家想住的就是曼谷東方文華,比起很多飯店,東方已經算是很老舊的,但是就是這個特質很吸引人,飯店帶著一些殖民色彩,又有著當地的特色,像個經歷過歷史沖刷後卻越來越優雅和內斂的老婦人。某方面,裡頭的感覺真的很像電影"安娜與國王"

最最吸引我的就是著名的Authors' Lounge英式下午茶,再次映證了殖民色彩和當地文化的融合,坐在那裡彷彿能感受到歷史的痕跡。

最後放兩個我很喜歡的兩個泰國設計師(當然還有很多不錯的,不過這兩個是印象最深刻的,其實最近越來越多泰國設技師到紐約也發展的很成功,最近狂被報導的Thakoon,和我個人非常喜歡的Nuj Novakhett)

Saturday Morning

沒有人教過我,在四月下雪的隔天週六早上需要做什麼消遣活動,
原本很期待的春天第一回合姐妹Brunch,就在沒有太陽,還有積雪,
大家都想當宅女的心情下取消了。

慶幸有昨天逛到的Signe Chanel Video陪我渡過了早餐時間,看Haute Couture 的製造過程和每件衣服的小細節,真的很感動,血液又再次沸騰的感覺! (via Shopholic)

接著又跑去把B/W Paris之前的文章翻閱一下,看到了一句很有趣讓我開心了一整天的句子"Suzy Menkes早說了現在已經沒有時裝天才了, 要成為明日時裝之星, 你最好先保佑Anna Wintour愛你, 再來祈禱Topshop還是H&M的要跟你合作, 接著拜託哪個女明星幫你穿去紅地毯亮亮相, 最後還得請教四面佛哪一個包會是下一季的Must-Have。" 又從那邊找到了一個介紹很多非主流音樂的網站,

Mr. 優柔寡斷,裡面很多很適合週末聽的音樂。

之後在音樂的領導下,我寫完了兩篇 short essays.
Saturday-at-home is not that bad (if I don't have to cook). XD

The Sartorialist

The Satorialist 是我幾乎每天都會去逛的Fashion blog, 不同於一般Fashion blogs,這個部落格主要是放版主(Scott Schuman) 在紐約街頭看到的Stree Fashion Styles,或是一些很獨特的穿著品味(他不大照models),還有版主到個大城市去看秀時在秀場外的照片。

之前大部分的照片都是男性較多(男生要把衣服穿到好看和時尚,難度可是比女生高阿,女生有很多輔助工具,ex:高跟鞋,化妝,束腹,首飾...等等,但男生可以穿戴的比起女生可就真的是很少了,如果沒有好的身材,真的就是要非常要了解自己的優勢和缺點,不然就是乖乖的去運動吧XD!)

之後就慢慢越來越多女生的照片,我特別喜愛他在巴黎和米蘭時裝週拍的那些,歐洲女生(或是住在歐洲的女生,不過因為是時裝週也有點關係吧) 穿上衣服後就真的是人在穿衣服,舉手投足之間都很有味道,大概這就是一個有著長久時尚和藝術文化的城市魅力,人在那種文化的薰陶下氣質就是不一樣。

今天看到了一篇他要把一個長得頗可愛,卻造型有點失敗的女生改造(當然也是他在街頭找來的),這是他的第一次改造,還蠻期待看到成果的。 (Go to post on Monday, April 14, 2008)

p.s.題外話是那個女生身上很大一個敗點就是那雙要長不長要短不短的靴子,我看到的時候嚇了一大跳 ,因為那正是我最愛穿的款式(汗顏),其實那種靴子是真的顯示不出腿型,反而完完全全的放大了大腿,除非 是腳細到沒有肉,那種鞋子還真不是設計給一般人穿的(可是是真的很方便,舒服和保暖,很適合西雅圖或是寒冷地區)。

看到這件的時候,我有心臟停止跳動的感覺(哈)
造型很特殊不像一般的trench coat,跟他的名字一樣,有Audrey Hepburn的影子, 不過多了一點現代和城市的味道,還可以當洋裝穿

New Lover: maloles

I don't know how to start with my first encounter with maloles.
It was a beautiful Sunday morning. I woke up and thought to make myself a delicious breakfast.

And, as usual, I turned on my computer first. Then, I remember that I was searching for a pair of wedges last night. I went to my favorite online store (Shopbop), and I started from where I left of last night. And of the sudden, a pair of bright pink flat came to my eyes. I was shocked and surprised by the color and the design. I was so mad at myself that how come I didn't recognize this brand before.

To make this clear, maloles has nothing to do with Manolo Blahnik. They are from different designers. maloles is designed by Maloles Miracosta-Antignac, a 31-year-old former PR and Spanish Vogue stylist. I guess the only similarity is that Manolo and maloles both have Spanish descents, but the brand maloles- I would say it is a total Spanish descent, and since Manolo opended its first store in London-I would assume it has a more British descent. maloles is famous of its flats, but its high heels and other accessories are also really adorable.

One thing I love maloles so much is because her shoes are sort of between the feeling of a little girl and a woman. It's hard to see this characteristic from other shoe brands.

Anyways, I just want to say maloles- you made my day.
